Help where I can get an ignition switch for my 1970 1300 CC GT Junior

Can anyone tell me where I can get an ignition switch for my 1970 1300 CC GT Junior..I have been using a push button to start it for the longest time. I have looked at various sites but they don't seem to have the year I'm looking...maybe there is a cross referenced part but I don't know...I'm new to this game.

Hi Bon,

I don't know which sites you've tried, but the big two to start out with usually are:

http://www.international-auto.com/ (These people have lots of my money. They're very nice and helpful and friendly if you call them up on the phone to ask newbie questions as well.)
http://www.centerlinealfa.com/ (Also very reputable and pretty good on the phone.)

Of course they are American, so that means dealing with cross-border shipping and Canada Customs.

I've never used his mechanical services, but Pino Chiaravalloti is sort of the unofficial Toronto Alfa Club mechanic, and he stocks a pretty decent assortment of mechanical parts. Contact Pinarello Motori at (905) 264-0897.

I have tried Internattional Auto parts at least the on-line store...it returned a message that it didn't have a part listing for the ignition switch it just may be a part borrowed from Fiat or other Alfa models but to date I don't know.

Thanks for your help. I will try your other suggested source.

If I'm correct in thinking that your 1970 Junior has a steering wheel lock, then a 1750 ignition switch might work. Centerline part number IS269.
