Help please, very Heath Robinson Alfetta throttle cable set up

Hi,

The car ive bought had a few changes by the previous owner, twin dellorto's and k&n air filters with alfaholics cnc'd mounts onto a spider manifold.

The issue ive got is that there isnt a mount for the throttle cable on either the manifold nor the carbs so its currently zip tied on.

I know with the webers on my spider the cable comes from underneath and has a mount on the carb but i dont know what the alfetta manifold set up should be like.

Any ideas on a more permanant fix?

thanks

yikes, that does look very HR!

I presume that bracket, if you were to cut the cable ties (the photo is very small, so difficult to see) would just fall off...correct....?
Couldn't you fabricate a new bracket, except put some L shaped bits at the bottom which come back at you and fix to those two nuts on the carb mounts left and right (as the carb mounts are the solid type, from what I understand, they will be solidly mounted) and there looks to be plenty of stud sticking out.

something like this:

Hi, yes the mount is a triangular backing plate that purely held on with the ties.

The issue is that to get a smooth cable run the plate needs to be at 45 deg to the manifold and mounting it directly to those mounts would mean it's on the same vertical axis so the cable will foul.

But you're right, something fabricated to fix on those mounts looks like the way to go

Cheers
