Lift out seat pads on series 2 spider?

Went to look at another spider today and whilst looking for rust in the floor noticed that the seat pads just lift out .is this correct or something missing ?how do you adjust the seat position on these cars ,I got a bit carried away with looking for rot and forgot to look.

Thanks

Rudy.

Mine lift out - front and rear. So nothing to worry about

Mine is early S2 1750, no rear "seat" cushion. Seats adjust with turning an arm in front of seat, LH it sits right, RH sits left.

Cars

The rear lifts out - the fronts shouldn't - they should have some small metal tags which fold over the base but they can break off easily
