I'm lucky enough to live in a house with underground parking and a heated garage.
I considered selling the Alfa 2 years ago but things changed for the better.
Happy to have held onto it; only a man who was interested in buying it (and didn't) has taken to scribbling dirty names on the body work...!!! I'd have him clamped, but he's a weird bloke and he'd get away with a rap on the fingers and maybe a light fine. Worse still, he's capable of doing alot more damage having been found out.
I've looked around for individual garages and have come up with a great garage who deal in Classic Cars and actually have space for less than my current garage is costing me. They'll even make sure the battery is charged, oil, water and petrol levels are OK, check tyre pressure and make sure it's always kept clean and shiny, all in a secured inside showroom So from now on my Alfa will be parked securely with some supercars the likes of Ferrari F40's , Daytonas and other old Triumphs and alfas
Only drawback is that they ask for 36hrs advisal before handing your car over.
I'm chuffed and happy about it all
They can do some minor work on the car too while they're at it. True enthusiasts who do floor up restorations. I'm having a hard time believing that places like this still exist for the money they're asking. Its cheaper than an individual box too !

their link below, and yes, I'm in Switzerland... CHF 160.-/month approx GBP 100/month is cheap here.
We're paid more, but everything is more expensive except tax and VAT, so in the end you make about 5 to 10% more than in Scotland where I come from.

I would go for the 130 a month jobby - all you need is a warm secure roof over its head!

30 Sfs per month extra to check oil levels and keep the battery charged is nuts (if it was a one time charge, that would be fair enough) - if you leave it there over winter, say 5 months, you are paying 150SFs to have someone charge the battery and check the oils. For 150 Sfs you could buy a new battery every 5 months and get some oil thrown in!
If you disconnect the battery each time you park it there, you wont need to charge it, and when you collect it you can check the oil yourself in 45 seconds flat!
It is the extras that get people...thats an extra 360 SFs a year, money you could spend better on the car itself........imo

Alfa Black, sounds good, I have a cousin who lives near geneva (bovis bossey spelt wrong), and appreciate the cost of real estate over there. Must be great taking it through the mountains.

I think you're right and will take your advice Spiderseries4, I'd just got off the phone and was happy about finding something suitable. Next week the car is with them.

Middlewich. My father stumbled on the garage some years ago when he saw some old triumphs outside - he lives nearby. We stopped off for a look and years later I'm a client Its just a few miles from some great mountain roads, one of which is used for a hill climb event every few years. Lots of Alfa Giuletta Juniors. I've included 2 pics of my Alfa and the reason I want to keep it inside. Its never been under the rain!!!
I drove up to see my parents 2 years ago and didn't realise the road had been shut off. I was being ushered onto the start grid when I told them all I wanted to do was turn left and go see my parents... !! U turn and lots of cheers and shouts from the people there.
Its a bit out of the way, but perfect for what I need currently and will kep this other bloke's mind off resenting he never bought it.

Edit: Thats a nicki Lauda F1 Ferrari left top. Sitting on aluminium plate on top of part of the petrol tank.... insane if you ask me.
