don't believe everything you see - that ebay offer gets inserted at least once a month and never ever fetches reserve. The people (a respected alfa parts firm, so ought to know better) who are "selling" (for want of a better word, as they never DO sell!) are the people who sell the expensive conversion kit needed to turn a rubber bumpered spider into this earlier form.

........to me it is just an advertising excercise, and a pain in the rear end!

see what I meant, reached 9,999 euros reserve not met, then suddenly it is back, still stunning I agree, but i really do not know what they are trying to prove, it has been like this for well over a year!

It does look nice although I couldn't read up as it was in German.
Never seen a Spider on those BBS alloys, are they MK2/3 Golf wheels? Works well I think.

A S4 2000 running carbs will not comply with exhaust gas regulations in the EU.

its actually an S3 (1987 model)
However, the one EU country that has exhaust gas emmission zones for CARS (in other words you need a Kat to get the Euro4 green sticker) is only really Germany, and that is mainly for big cities.....you can still drive it in the countryside............though that defeats the point, I agree!

France, Spain, Portugal, UK have no emission zones. (well London has a zone, but it is only for lorries)
Italy have some zones for cars
Holland, Austria, Sweden and even Denmark etc, only have the emmission zones for lorries.

- or wait till 2017 when it becomes a classic or historic vehicle, then you can drive anywhere

My mistake, I thought it was a S4 to start with, but see it's a Bj (Bau Jahr) '87. Anyway I understand why someone would like to convert a S3 to S2.

NB! Denmark imposted CATs (and fuel injection with very few execptions) from '89 for engines over 2000 cc and from '90 below 2000 cc. I know that lots of other contries EU waited until model year 1994.
