Great fun isn't it. Our club (Cape Alfa Romeo Club) has a track day once a year at our Killarney race circuit. Most of the guys take their road cars out ..... best way to get to know the limits. My 155 Sport was 1 and half months old when the wife and I took it round. I've been hooked on the racing thing since then. Must say the rear wheel drive ones are more fun on the track.

I suppose I've always been interested in Alfas since my dad used to drag me down to the local race circuit Killarney. The GTV6 3.0 of the mid '80s really got my attention. The car was specially developed in South Africa for our Group One racing series. One of our club members who now stays in the UK, should have an example over there. Anyway, the first Alfa I owned was an '82 GTV6 2.5 which I sold , the next was the 155 Sport, then a 1.6 147 which got traded in on a 147 Selespeed, which in turn lost out to a 155 V6 (pictures in the garage section). Oops forgot all about the '69 Dipnose Jnr which the wife purchase, and lead to the race car development.

Once you've driven an Alfa there's no going back.
