Thumbs Up Patriotic Berties

I've just been upto Peak Alfa to drop the 155 off and I drove the junior to get back in, I was pleasantly surprised to see 2 more Berties both 2000 GTV, in for work. Mines red, there was a white one modified for the track and a very tidy blue one, all sporting their St George flags (on the badges) ready for the footy next week. Wish I had a camera with me, as I doubt I'll see that many together again for a while, unless I manage to go to one of the meets.

Oh!
Is that what all these flags are for!

I thought it was for something important. Like D-Day.

Re: Patriotic Berties

Must admit I find all these flags slightly anoying, it's a shame that in England we can't see our flag without thinking it's meant to support the Football team.

We Alfa owners also look at one everytime we climb in the Car as well................on the Steering wheel.....

Perhaps we should have have painted black and white stripes on our Cars to support D Day.....that would have been

There was a long established big office near us which always had a Union Jack flying. They were asked to take it down because apparently you can only fly the Union Jack on a building with royal approval. Something like that anyway. That was the official reason.
The actual reason was because it narked some "Bradford locals" who lived nearby and they had complained....

I believe some suggestions were made that they could always go and live somewhere where they did respect the nation's flag... unofficially of course.
