Re: Plastic Step Front Bertie wanted

Jamie there is a Plastic Junior on the market at the moment, it's not a step front though.
It was bought by a guy on the site then sold off again as it had problems. Sills and floor were dodgy, it also had a silly bonnet with a scoop on it
It's advertised in Classic Cars for sale this month I think.
I will try to find a link.

Wonders of the Edit button
Link to the thread it's mentioned in (Cost of 105 GTV)

Trackmeister bought it off Ebay, then put it back up and I believe sold it again. Not sure why it's advertised again unless someone made a mistake.

Here is the guy you are looking for. A friend of mine here in Northern Ireland bought a car off him and it is a good job.

Re: Plastic Step Front Bertie wanted

The chap in Revs sold his white one. It looked very good but I wasn't sure about the chromed engine!

I have seen a car done with the Bob Wright panels and it looked pretty good. Good thick panels so you can't see through them. That's often the problem with fibreglass panels - they can look odd in direct light.

Know where you're coming from. A car's for show or for go and I like driving. As my mate once said "When did you ever hear someone say that they've just had a great polish?"

I digress. I've got a Bob special. The passenger door and the boot are not a great fit and the paint job could be better, but I luv it to bits. I put up some piccies a while ago:

Good luck.

Re: Plastic Step Front Bertie wanted

I run Plastic Bob's race weight boot bonnet and doors on my race car... think the fit is pretty good myself considering. Bob had his fully plastic car at our trackday in april... its very clever how its all done! It even has a plastic boot floor!

Re: Plastic Step Front Bertie wanted

As it said earlier in the thread I bought and sold a Bob Wright car recently.............my observations were as follows.

The quality of the fibreglass is good, however the door fit on "my" car wasnt great, however the floors and sills were not good so maybe this was why.................I didnt fancy cutting the bottoms of the wings off to repace ths sills, this is why I sold the car.
Great idea though, and you cant tell its plastic.
