UK dealership moved to The Netherlands???

I always feel sorry for the UK guys among us when they have to deal with their dealerships. But appearantly one has moved to the continent and now I have to deal with it

I have a warranty claim (need some new bearings and insulators) and I brought my car to the Alfa specialist where I bought the car. I had to make an appointment nearly 4 weeks in advance and finally I could bring her in last Wednesday. On my way to the Alfa specialist the timing belt snapped, but that is a different story. I asked the mechanic if my spider would be fixed by the end of the day, he said that it was a lot of work and that he couldn't finish the job on Wednesday (according to my own dealership it is a 3 to 4 hour job).

Today (Friday) I called the specialist and asked if my spider was fixed and they replied that they hadn't had the time for it yet. Since he wasn't waiting for parts I didn't understand why they hadn't finished my car, let alone: hadn't started to fix my car. I asked the guy what the point was for making an appointment nearly four weeks in advance when they don't fix anything on the scheduled date. He told me nine cars were still ahead of me and he couldn't tell me when he will be able to work on my car. And if I don't like it, I could pick up my car and leave (spoken with a very unfriendly tone of voice). Basically he was telling me to föck off.

I don't know when he will fix my car but he can expect some 'advertisement' from me on all Dutch alfa romeo forums if he doesn't finish the job within a couple of days.

Bugger
Can't think of anything you can do either other than spread the word around.
Hope it gets fixed soon, and properly.

Re: UK dealership moved to The Netherlands???

Tell him you are a member of the forum.... you will post comments, etc accordingly - if he understands the importance of this it could work in your favour..... if not - leave it with him (if you can afford to go without the car) as it will be taking up space in his garage (if space is an issue here).

Or, you could always threaten to hire a car and have it billed to him as a result of your car not looking like it will be fixed anywhere near it's expected finish time...
