Re: Speedo not working

Jamie - do you know if the cable is still intact?

I had one snap right at the gearbox end.

Re: Speedo not working

A quick and easy way to narrow down the problem, well fairly quick, is to disconnect the speedo cable from the transducer input. Turn on the ignition and have someone look at the speedo while you turn the transducer input with a small screwdriver. If the speedo works, the problems cable related. If it doesn't, it's electrical.

Re: Speedo not working

if you found the cable wasn't tight in the transducer then it might have rounded the end to more of a point thatn square, if so you might be able to cut it square and still have enough lenght for it to reach each end without buying a new one. If its not that, as i expect it isn't coz S4 speedos always break then it is likely to be in the speedo head.... they are hard to find and i don't think i have any binacles left.
