Hi All

Anyone know where I can get parts (advance weight springs, etc) for a marelli distributor (76 1600 GT Junior)?

Thanks!

Re: Marelli Distributor Parts

Well, funny you say that, but I've looked at the 123 system. Looks great on paper but I've been advised that there are major probs with advance curves. To quote:

"compromises need to be made to the timing. Usually this is done by a reduction of the maximum advance at speed to avoid dangerous detonation; however, this also brings an unfavourable reduction of the idle setting which causes erratic running and poor starting."

Marelli dizzys are supposed to have better advance curves for modern fuels and therefore I thought I'd try and stick with it.

Do you have a view on this?
