Lumpy Spider engine

I have today finally got my 1989 S3 Spider back on the road after being stuck in my garage for the last three years. The top half of the engine has been rebuilt with new valve guides and valve seat inserts, and although the engine sounds mechanically good, the actual running is rough - probably only on 3 cylinders at tickover and light running speeds. It was pretty much like this before the strip down, although the work done has been done well and had put right the mechanical mechanical problems. The car has Bosch electronic injection and all compression readings are good.

Any ideas?

Please also see the post about the electronic speedo problem as well, since this packed up this morning......

Re: Lumpy Spider engine

Sorry, can't give you any constructive advice. On my S2 I don't have any electronics.Sometimes it is best to check that all the ground wires are secured. When last have you checked the spark-leads?
