1750 GTV

1750 interior details

I have a 1750 GTV Mark 1 (1970), which i've had for 20 years now.
I've recently had a load of engine work done, and after 6 years in my garage, it's back on the road.
I've now got the restoration bug, and although it's in pretty good condition, I'd really like to get the fine details as authentic as possible.
Does anybody know the best place for finding out exactly how the interior should have looked from new?
My ashtray in the centre console has been sprayed black by a previous owner, and I'd like to find a replacement.
Also the seat belts are pretty old looking, and wondered if anybody had any suggestions for finding an original set?
Many thanks

Shame you missed the Auto Italia show at stanford hall just gone, as the classic alfa company had all these parts for sale . A very helpful company , who's staff you can talk to and will advise you where they can , highly recommended . See Classic Alfa Romeo Parts & Spares Worldwide - Bertone, Spider & More or tel 020 8693 0707 . Good luck with the motor and send some pics

And in the interests of a fair market you can also try Chris Sweetapple at Highwood Motor Company in Swansea . Ran the 105 series register for years and knows the cars well. Good stock of parts and has helped me out a couple of times with stuff that others couldn't manage.

Re: 1750 interior details

One way of getting a definitive answer is to try an get an original sales brochure. I've got a 1750 Mark 1 brochure at home so I'll see if there are any useful pics in there. Also, keep an eye on adverts like this:
http://www.classicalfa.com/cars/1750...HD%201969.html
Although annoyingly it doesn't show the ashtray!! It would be worth having a go at wire wooling your ashtray. I'm sure it would come up well.
