Momo Vega

I recently committed to buy a set of Momo Vega's for my gtj. The seller tells me they are 108 pcd, and came off a "Junior" - will these fit my 69 step front, or any other 60's gt's?

I am no expert on these techy things, I just want to avoid buying the alloys and then they aren't the correct spec. As I understand it the later alfettas had a different wheel spec.

Will the spec be stamped on the alloy by any chance?

Re: Momo Vega

I think Alfettas were 98PCD.

All 105 wheels had (as far as I know) the same 4 hole PCD so if they came off a GT/Spider/Super/Berlina, they will go on. The only thing to watch is that on early stepfront cars they had lower rear wings and can't take a fat rear tyre like the later cars.

Re: Momo Vega

I don't think the pcd is stamped on the rims,I have to check on my Vegas.Vegas are very rare, depending on the price you are getting them for,I would still buy them. The 98pcd can easily be machined and inserts can be made to fit the 108pcd.
The ones you are looking at;do they have solid or removable centre caps?

Re: Momo Vega

Removable ones unfortunately.

The alloys are still boxed after refurbishment.

Re: Momo Vega

5000 SA Rands (£330) - my car is in Cape Town and will be shipped over to the UK in a month or two so freight not an issue.

Re: Momo Vega

That is cheaper than the UK(they average between 300 and 500 Pounds restored),but expensive for SA.Pity your car is leaving soon, with some searching you should be able to get a good set for max.R2500.
I got mine 3 years ago from a bloke in Boksburg,he did not know the value of them.He had a big smile on his face when I handed him R1200!I like seeing happy people theirfore I didn't tell him the true value afterwards.
Give Evo a call at LA Motorspares in JHB.He has a large scrapyard of GT juniors and various other Alfa parts.Last time I got some spares from him he had a set there.Don't tell him you are exporting your car the price will double up.

Re: Momo Vega

Thanks, I will give him a call.

There are one or two sets in CT for sale, the asking price is R4000 ish and not refurbished - oh yes, alfetta 98 pcd's so not ideal.
