cracked dashboard

Hi,
I don't hold out too much hope for this BUT. Does anyone have any experience of fixing/filling the cracks which seem to appear on the top of the dash of virtually all Alfa Giulias from the late sixties/early seventies?
cheers

Re: cracked dashboard

The filled cracks tend to crack again when left out in the sun. There are several parts suppliers that sell a decent plastic dash cap that looks pretty much like the original dash top.

Re: cracked dashboard

Ah,
Can you let me know the name of a supplier that does dash caps for RHD cars. Ive seen some in the States but they only seem to be for left hookers?
cheers

Re: cracked dashboard

Haven't seen caps advertised in the States for RHD. There are sources in Italy that make reproduction complete dashes for LHD (Centerline sells them in the States) so it would seem logical that there would be RHD dashes available somewhere in Italy. Possibly RHD caps, as well. Good luck!

Am listing Centerline's stateside telephone number in case you want to call them and ask about their source in Italy: 303 447 0239

Many thanks for that. I'll give them a call.
