'83 Alfetta 2.0 saloon on ebay

These must be extremely rare these days?

Had a look at the photos - do you think the seller has ever heard of a vacuum cleaner? The poor old thing looks like it hasn't been washed in years and basically been maintained by a common variety tip rat. (Hope you're not the seller by the way!) Going for a good price though. With two days to go, what's it going to fetch, do you think?

I'm not the seller, just stumbled across the car whilst browsing ebay. I haven't seen one of those in years. I recall the two tone paint scheme being available on some of the last cars but only recall seeing navy/silver or black/silver cars. I'm sure I saw the red/silver in magazine pics though. I agree that the seller hasn't made much of an effort to tidy the car up but then you often find that on ebay. It isn't attracting much attention though. It looks to be in reasonable order and it would be good to see someone buy it and sort it out. Not one of the more popular models for enthusiasts though I guess.

Yep, that's very cool. As far as two tone combos go, blue and silver wins hands down, I think. Did you sell it?

I sold it to my brother inlaw, he used it till it was 15 years old and over 100k miles. It was still in good condition and had MOT. He then sold it on for resteration. Not seen it since. It was a great car and would beat any 3L car on the road. Not that I ever raced!
