These are pics. What colour will you be painting her? Did you make or buy the replacement parts? Nice shop.

I had the replacement panels shipped from Giles from Classic Alfa in the UK to my location in Melbourne Australia...

I am planning on painting her AR-716 (AR 705) Grigio Grafite- Graphite Grey (DuPont 8776)...but with a more granular metallic finish....I will dress her interior in burgundy/marrone leather...

I have rebuilt and replaced all parts in the differential, gearbox, propshaft....i have had the engine stripped and balanced and currently re-assembling...powder coated all suspension components and replaced all bushes...

engine head is being machined, high compression pistons fitted, stainless steel valves etc; it will be accompanied by a locally designed cam shaft....and accompanied by x2 45 DCOE webers...

Alll chrome parts re-chromed...all stainless steel re-polished.....all blacj components powder coated...all instrumentation re-calibrated...

I eagerley await the body to be completed and engine bay, cabin and under-carriage painted...ready to take delivery of engine, suspension, gearbox and propshaft assembly...hopefully be end of next month!!

she will be a stunner mate!!

Re: Restoring 1969 Gt 1750

Why is it that all the best Italian cars are in Melbourne? Is it because all the most fastidious restorers live there?

Beautiful job mate. Keep up the good work. I hope you won't mind me picking your brains from time to time.

Chris from Perth

Looks great! Looks like it also used to be a proper colour too.

Yes was the original Yellow Ocre colour but I am going to change it to AR-716 Grigio Grafite- Graphite Grey (DuPont 8776) / but with a metallic finish.

The interior will be marone/deep burgundy leather....basically i am trying to achieve this look in the picture...

Re: Restoring 1969 Gt 1750

Caaawww....that's some very nice kit you've got there! Well done!
What sort of preparation process did you use before powder-coating? Were the parts chemically stripped, bead blasted or some other method?

You must be feeling pretty happy with yourself right now. Good onya mate!

Chris (.......wondering whether his 'Alfie' wears knickers or boxer shorts? Can't tell for the dirt at present!)

hello...they where filthy when I stripped the car...almost 40 years of road tar/grease/ road kill and god know what else...I did the following:

1. Soaked them in a degreaser bath
2. Had them chemically stripped
3. Then powder coated...

In hindsight, I would have got an even much more superiro finish if i had them bead blasted...but I am very very picky...!!!
