Larger fuel tank on a kamm Spider?

Does anyone here have the larger fuel tank option on their Spider/105?
Mine sticks about 100mm up from the floor of the boot.

Man, that looks funky...are you the original owner by any chance ? Judging from the wavy look of the side seams on the tank, I'd guess this was a 'modification' made somewhere along the line...Mine ('77) sits flush (or just below) the level of the floor...

Have not seen one like this before on any spider or 105.
Could have been modified. Does the fuel sender go to the bottom of the tank??

No I am not the original owner,I've had this car for 15 years. The "wavy look on the side of the tank" is paint that I have since removed. The tank is made of aluminium and fits perfect. It has the cut-away for easy access to the rear light. On another forum I was told extended fuel tanks was an optional extra offered on late '60's Juniors but they are not too sure if it was an option on Kamm Spiders.

Yes it does,I've never checked how much fuel it holds.
