Hmmm GTV2000 Defroster Tube or Bellows

Does anyone know of a source for replacement rubber defroster tubes or bellows for a GTV2000? Mine are dry rotted. I bought defroster tubes for a Spider but they are over twice as long as the GTV tubes and slightly smaller in diameter. I was able to stretch one end of the Spider hose over the hard plastic duct leading from the heater and stuffed the other end up into the dashboard outlet tube so it will more or less conduct air but I'd like to have the proper bellows. The Spider hose was too small in diameter to stretch over the tube leading down from the dash.

There are two diameters of Spider tubes. Make sure you have the lareger - I think it is 3 inches / 75mm from memory.

The only answers are either to get the Spider one and cut it down, or go to a specialist ducting company and buy a length of the right diameter and cut it down.

Got my Spider ducting from Chris at Highwood and after cutting in half it works fine. You only need 1 Spider length as half is plenty on a GTV

Re: GTV2000 Defroster Tube or Bellows

Harryf, Thanks. Since posting my original thread, I measured my old tube and it is 3" diameter. Unfortunately, I have the smaller diameter Spider tubes. I found 3" material in J.C. Whitney, the Chicago catalog auto parts outlet, but it is described as rubber impregnated fabric over wire coils. It's not expensive @ about $12/4'. It may work fine in the GTV since it's a pretty straight shot from the plastic hearter outlet to the defrost vent but I will check your suggestion too.
