Question - unable to change status

This doesn't seem to be in the rules so I thought I might ask the question. If nothing else it will make people more hesitant to break the AO rules.

I gather once one receives an infraction, which is permanent, you're unable to change your status permanently.

That's what it sounds like to me. If it is indeed a bug I might report it in the necessary forum. It seems a bit harsh but I might be paranoid. I've actually seen a few 'bugs' since the new rules have come in.

The infraction stays on your infraction tab on your profile page, the infraction tab isn't veiwable by normal members so past infractions and IIRC current infractions are not veiwable by non Moderator/Admin enabled profiles.

I'm only going off memory but I'm sure if I'm wrong a a Mod/Admin will correct me.

I'm talking about the status underneath your nick.

In my case 'The road goes on forever... the party never ends'

I tried changing mine and it says because of my account status, I can't, so I presume it's permanent. Lucky it was a positive status because it seems it will be forever or until other things may happen.

No, I won't be pressing the self-delete button. I will let nature run its course.

PT - Infractions should not make any difference to your ability to change your status. I would recommend you do post in the bug lounge. Would you like me to try to change your status to see if it 'resets' it? (Doesn't seem likely, but worth a try!)
Perhaps by 'status' it means type of membership? But I don't remember status changes being a paid for privilege.

Actually, tell you what, why don't I just move this to the bug lounge? Will also change the title, as I'm 99% certain it's not connected, so it will be more clear.
