Membership renewal failed. How to get AO to respond to emails/PMs?

Posting this because PMs and emails to AO go unanswered. Hopefully someone with ability to do something will read it.

Got a reminder that my renewal was due.

Renewed it paying by Paypal.

Got a "thank you, your renewal was successful" PM from AO.

A few days later, got a "Urgent! Urgent! Your membership is expiring!" e-mail from AO. Responded by e-mail that I had already paid. Got no reply.

A few days later, checked my subscription status and saw that it was about to expire. Sent a PM via the "contact us" link explaining that I had already paid. Got no response.

Today: membership expired.

Given that AO do not respond to PMs or e-mails, has anyone got any suggestions how to fix this?

cheers

Thanks for the post. I'm assuming it's just a blip in the system, so have made admin aware. Hopefully all will be sorted out swiftly.

Thanks Bobda!

PS: checking my Paypal account shows the payment status as "unclaimed". Perhaps the "renew your membership" link points to a Paypal account that is no longer valid?

This makes me very sad, I am sorry this is happening to you!
Since changing over to new server, it appears we are having some basic issues and we are looking at theml, I assume we have your money but you have no sub, is that correct?
(Dont worry, we will fix it for you and compensate you for the time you have spent)

It goes without saying also, thanks for the show of support your end

Ian

Hi Ian

Got to expect a few hiccups.

Not sure you've actually got my money - as I said, my Paypal history shows an amount of UKP 15.50 payable to "clubfunds2008@alfaowner.com" as "unclaimed".

Is it possible that the links for renewing membership lead to an expired Paypal account?

I believe that I could still cancel this payment since it is unclaimed.

cheers

Stewart

Hi Stewart, I would suggest you cancel the transaction whilst the fault is rectified.
Hopefully the fix will be made very soon.

Good man, sorry for any trouble/inconvenience caused.
As I said, hopefully the fix will be in place soon, there seem to have been a few teething problems with the transition to the new servers. But hopefully the end product will mean a smoother and more secure future for AO, and an easier life for it's members!

Hello Stewart, sorry for the delay.
I believe that you can now progress with the renewal, the paypal account has now been moved to the correct (new) system so I have been informed
Fingers crossed it should now work fine
