Cannot mark forums as "read"
Since sometime on Sat 9 Sept.
Using the "New Posts" drop down menu -> "Mark Forums Read" results in an error message reporting "Invalid Forum". It's the same for me from wherever I try to do this.

Hmm, seems to work okay for me.
Have you tried double-clicking on the red cloverleaf next to the forum name (from the Forum Index)?

Is it a particular section of the forum, because it's working for me?

Just had a poke around. It doesn't work from the AO home page, forums home page, GTA, gerneral alfa, WoT, Rant Room or indeed this lounge - haven't tried any others but I'd suspect it's everywhere.
Double clicking the clover leaves still works, but I like to mark all read when I've finished browsing the bits of interest so I'd like to do it in one hit.

I take it you've always been able to mark them as read Mudhut? It's just it seems to work for staff. I'm just wondering if it's a permissions problem.

I've always been able to mark forums as read from the "new posts" drop-down menu - now I can't!

Sorry to disappoint but it's broken again.
I use this feature every day (often more than once in a day) so can alert immediately.

It's an Alfa forum - just think of this little bug as "soul"!

Aaah, soul!
It's like an engine management light that can't make up its mind and no known cause.

I think its to do with cache, I dont think we have a answer to this as the cache is required more than a mark forums read facility, really sorry this is happenning to you. I have noted this down to review. (Thats a promise)

Thanks for the explanation, Ian.
Oh, and BTW, today's status update is back to "broken."
