site is slow

My friends

Is it occurring only with me? Due (I think) to the flash video on the right side of the page, navigation is slow, locks up too much, it bothers a lot. I'm using Windows 2000 and Mozilla Firefox.

Whats the spec of your graphics card/PC as I suspect this has an awful lot to do with it, trust me, the site is not slow, its already serving data 14% faster for the majority of this week from a benchmark snap shot taken last week.

You can sign up to the AO Club and then you can kill the advert and side bar.

regards,

Ian

Mine seems slow but as I have minimal knowledge, and I mean minimal, of how computers/web sites work I can offer no reason for this and always blame my ageing laptop......

Once I click the Red arrow on the side it stays turned off unless I turn it on again, sorry no idea why that's happening to you

Opening and reading Posts OK but almost impossible to Post a reply. After you press " submit " nothing much seems to happen, just get the tool bar saying " Waiting For Alfaowner. "

Mmm. Just noticed that although after you have pressed the " submit " button and nothing seems to happen that the Post has actually happened but you can't see it unless you leave the Thread. Then find that the Post is there but is highlighted as if you haven't even read the last Post.

A tad frustrating.......

I thought Bradders only got blamed/caught for speeding - not for going too slow!
