Can the [IMG] tab please work?

I would be great if I could post photographs rather than just links from photographs.

Edit: Why do the tabs work here and not in the south Scotland section? I notice it says [IMG] code is On in this post. How do I turn it on in the Scotland section?

for example

You can use attachments in all lounges . Hot linking [IMG] tags are only available in the Just Image Lounges.
IIRC this is to keep the forum cleaner & more organised by encouraging user to post pics in the correct Lounge.

This section has a few anomalies compared to the rest of the forum but now that you've highlighted the [IMG] issue here it might be disabled

Cool I'll stick my thread over in the images lounge.

Would it be possible for individual threads to have the [IMG] code enabled? for how-to's etc it would be very useful ...

IMG tags in the technical sections would be good. Attachments are a bit of a pain due to type/size restrictions/lack of re-use opportunity, and trying to follow something having to click links to pictures doesn't make them easy to follow...

Thats exactly why we will never enable them as people submit images that are far too big, some are 1600 pixels wide which would be twice the screen I am working on (Laptop), however lets get serious, its very easy to upload an image, no harder than uploading else where so if you use sensible image sizes, with just one click you can view the image(s) and that really isnt a hassle is it, think about what you are saying here. (In the nicest possible way)

If we knew people would resize their images I would have no problem with enabling them but people will not.

Thanks for the feedback though, it is appreciated.

there are some forums I go on where pictures in [IMG] tags are automatically resized (usually down to 800x600) ... don't know how feasable that would be to do here

also the trouble with attachments is the 5Meg limit, I wouldn't want to delete old attachments that would still be of use in technical threads (which is why I use [IMG] code now)

Perhaps then include a direct link to where the pic is hosted
