Introduce Yourself to AO South West!

Hi there guys

Well thought I should introduce myself a little more now I am the Rep for the South West. I'm Simon, live in Bristol and a reasonable 'newbie' on the Alfa Romeo scene - only had my 156 since January this year, but have loved every minute of owning and driving her!

I'll be honest, I don't know a lot about Alfa's, but I'm learning more technical stuff through the forum. If you do have any problems and questions, I'll do my best to point you in the right direction/s.

I'm will be organising a meet in the coming few weeks, and hopefully will set up a regular meet that everyone will be welcome to attend. Just keep your eyes peeled for new events being posted, and in my signature for a countdown to the next event! I look forward to meeting you guys soon at the meets.

And now it's over to you guys! Let us know a little about you (especially you South-Westers' who lurk - join in, we don't bite!), and also where you are - be handy to know where you all are roughly!

I'm Peter based in Southampton.

Had an Alfa (164) for about two years but bought it to drive for a while with a view to eventually pulling the engine out for my kit car. The 164 is really too nice to do this to so when I've finally got it running properly, I'll most likely use it and find a V6 156 to act as an engine donor. Meanwhile I've bought a 147GTA for daily use.

Mad keen on cars and have done most types of work on them over the years but mostly on old British stuff. Was going to buy an old British car (don't know what - possibly TR4, Jaguar, more likely a Riley or Lea Francis) but they aren't the most reliable, suffer from rust... you know. So thought I might as well have something beautiful so here I am. Think I like the Lancias best of all so hope to end up with a Delta Integrale when I'm too old and stiff to get into my two seater.

Congrats Simon...I'm in Salisbury with a 145 leaf (since March) but looking at buying a new GT next year. Like you, I'm picking it up as I go along . Oh and name's Guy.

I'm Gemma and i live way south west in devon. Got a v6 156, had him for onw whole week. Previously had an arna (i'm not ashamed!) and a cloverleaf. Love the cars. Any meets down this way planned?

Hi guys im Ray I own a 147ti new in May, owned a 156 previous to that. I live in Yeovil (im originally from Glasgow) and love the South West, I have a passion for Alfas and Buses (yes its sad) and am a Director of a Bus Company, I am looking forward to all the meets and stuff Hammy has planned and look forward to meeting you all soon.
