Re: Introduce Yourself to AO South West!

The car intermittently cuts out when dipping the clutch. Only happens about once a day! Have cleaned the throttle body, checked the maf sensor and wiggled a few wires. Still happening.

Re: Introduce Yourself to AO South West!

Hi, I am Mark and live near Ottery St Mary in Devon. I was a member of alfaowner a few years ago, but had not been active for a while. I rejoined recently (the usual story - I needed some advice with a mechanical problem) and have been finding my way around the threads.
I currently have 3 1.8/2.0 Alfa 156s (only 1 roadworthy at the moment), a Fiat Seicento which never misses a beat and a Minari kit car with a mildlly tweaked 1.7 16v flat 4 engine. The Minari has been built over the last 3 years and has just passed the SVA test and will be on the road shortly.
I should also plug the Devon section of AROC. I don't know the feeling towards AROC in the county but we would welcome any Alfa fan to come along to our gatherings. We have a pretty broad spectrum of folk who turn up. Many are members of Lancia or Fiat clubs and some don't belong to any!
Our next gathering is an 'awayday' on Monday 29th Sept at the Coombe Cellars pub on the Teign estuary for a beer (some folk will eat as well) by the sea. Kick off is around 7.30 onwards.
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark, good to have you back on board!

If you are interested in any AOSW/AROC joint meets, speak either to myself or rayq81 and we can have a chat! I (and I hope I speak for Ray also here) hope to build bridges with the local AROC muc like other regions of AO have and organise some pretty good meets! Keep an eye out for any of our own meets, as they are great fun!
