copied from another thread that you tried to ignore
By the way bud, you know I mentioned about a corporate karting thing for the region.....well Dunkeswell club is putting on enduro events after our practices on sat
Basically the racers will be practicing during the day, then in the afternoon/evening there will be (for up to teams of 8) a 30 min practice/qualifying followed by a 90 enduro race
If we can get a team of 8 together the cost will be £22.50 per person so good value for money and if you get there early you can watch the racers practising

Hi, i'm Andy and my missus is susan, we are from Barnstaple in north devon, and we have a silver 156 2.5v6 called Sophia and a proteus 146 2L ti called rosa, love the sporty ti, but the sheer power of my sophia is wicked, a tip I got was to add Activ 8 to the gear box and engine during service it is worth the money £80 a litre lasts 3 services and fuel consumption and smoothness is much improved, cheers Susandy

Hi,
My name is Raj I am the proud owner of an Alfa 147 since July last year. I only the basics such as putting oil and water into the car, and changing fuses and bulbs! It's nice to know I can ask questions of other alfa owners, and hopefully learn more my car.

Hi all, thought I'd introduce myself here, I was already an AO member in London (managed one meet in that time!) before moving to Christchurch at the end of May - much better driving down here
I'm still settling in so I haven't been very active in the last month (I mainly perved in the GTV forum anyway) but I promise to get better! Bumping into gordoncoll the other week reminded me... I know there's loads of Alfa drivers down here, don't forget your Alfa waves!!
Hope to meet y'all soon,
J

newbie just in!!!
hey guys / girls,
just bought an alfa 2.0 T Spark 16v in silver 3 weeks ago and was introduced to this site, pretty cool. Always wanted an Alfa especially a 1998 spider. I was driving down the road last week and another Alfa spider driver waved at me when driving past, just like a fellow bus driver or a lorry driver would to his colleague and i thought to myself - hey im in the circle here wooo hoo lol!!
Anyone know if i can get the threads tapped on my front passenger side as the nuts won't screw onto 2 of the threads, there are 5 but only 3 work. I was told by the mechanic in the tyre garage that i will need a whole new hub - is this true?
cheers.

Mate, you arent driving on only three wheel bolts are you??
If you were to drill and tap new threads you would then have to go for bigger bolts....which would be a nightmare as you would have to make sure you kept the right ones for the right holes......I presonally would look for a new hub mate....safer, easier and you wont have to explain why you have different bolts when you come to sell on

Welcome to AO South West Ian......
98 GTV wouldn't have the window dip, but i would have a chat with the guys on the GTV technical forum
The windows can be aligned, this takes a little time and patience.......
as for the heater i wonder if the heater cable has become detached or broken, again have a chat in the GTV tech forum
aside from that the GTV does bring a smile to your face
