Very very nearly bought one of these a month ago before I went for the GTA. Great car and great classic but understated coupe looks. IMO far and away the best looking VW ever.

It's going to cost you just as much as a 166 V6 to keep on the road. Check whether the heater core has been "done". Check for probs with the massive cylinder head, rattly cam chain, rear wheel arch rust. I'll stop there: I expect you've already done your h/w if you are that close to buying. Enjoy it!
