Any body else in Cornwall???
I asked the question in the south west meet thread but I think it may be worth putting in a new thread for this one.
Am I the only one out on a limb down here in sunny Falmouth or are there any other devoted alfa owners here abouts.
trying not to sound like a lonely sad tw*t it feels a long way from anywhere down ere in tractor country.

Re: Any body else in Cornwall???
You are in fact the only person in Cornwall. All the other people you see every day are just in your mind.
I'm sorry, but someone had to tell you some time......

Re: Any body else in Cornwall???
Sorry - just posted a reply in the South West thread. I'm in the Truro/Redruth area. I say Truro... it is nearer Redruth, but that doesn't sound so great!

Well - looks like a total of three. Out of interest, which garage do you two use? I haven't heard anything positive about St Erth but I've never been there myself. Just started using GB Ongaro in Camborne... pricey but they definitely know their stuff.

Re: Any body else in Cornwall???
havent found a garage yet,
Im trying to do as much of the work as possible myself.
however I know a time will come where I will need one.
Living in Falmouth and Working in Redruth we have a good choice around here. The best independant Ive found is the Dell in Falmouth, they are only small but every car Ive taken to them in the past (iv had a few odd ones). They have been able to diagnose and fix without hassle and too much expense. I suppose more to the point they are trustworthy and willing but not greedy.

Love the car but Im spending more time under her than in her.

I will be using GB Ongaro in Camborne as its a new car and I live near to them. For older alfas I have done the work myself.

Re: Any body else in Cornwall???
Im in truro
Have used Ongaro, I agree with Penguin, bit pricey but can't fault their work. Have considered Auto Italiana in Exeter for big jobs but its just too far away. had many negatives about St Erth regarding car and Aprilia after sales service so will avoid them.

Re: Any body else in Cornwall???
Just bought my 1st Alfa and was wondering what clubs they may be in Cornwall. Im in St Agnes, literally had the car 1 day now and hoping to find out about good garages. I used to have a mini and was in the Cornish Mini Club, the whole club idea was fantastic with any problems or advice you needed being much more helpful than magazines or internet alone, really happy to have found this site!

Re: Any body else in Cornwall???
Sorry to go on, its just that I was suprised that someone I knew had an alfa. Especially someone my age. Most of my mates think alfas are crap real cars, they listen to the gospel of clarkson too much im afraid.
Auto Italiana were highly recommended by the previous owners who lived in Ottery St Mary.

Re: Any body else in Cornwall???
A quote from Mr Clarkson who as a whole I would say is a fan of Alfa.
The thing is, though, with the exception of the simply appalling Arna, I’ve loved all Alfas. In fact I’ve argued time and again that nobody can be a petrolhead until they’ve owned one. It’s a rite of passage. Think of it as the great sex that leaves you with an embarrassing itch.
sorry gone of thread again!!!
