Re: Bristol Meet

Just looked at this thread. I'm deffo coming, i'll be the one in the 164 3-litre with the loud exhaust! (not big-bore, just blowing). I only live 10 minutes from the pub, so i'll be there early. It'll give me an excuse to drive it rather than my company Peugeot 407 sw estate. Never met any of you guys before, so don't be shy, just come and introduce yourself.

Cheers
Steve

Don't worry chap, mines going too

I just spent 7 hours making the red one all shiny again, at least the weather is going to be good to show it off

Anyways! Lynn, welcome back and it was no problem keeping the thread going in your absence. Be nice to meet you again tomorrow!

By the way, is there to be a meet somewhere and all drive to Pucklechurch, or are we just going to arrrive as we do?

Re: Bristol Meet

Just got back from our Bristol meet and a lovely evening spent chatting with fellow AlfaOwners

Thanks to Hammy156, KeithGlos, Timppa and Myliese and User179 - it was great to put some more faces to names....and fortunately the pub "singer" (I use the term loosely) didn't manage to spoil things

It's a bit late now, but I'll post some pics in the morning - six Alfas parked next to each other in the car park (2 GTs, 2 156s, 1 166 and 1 164) certainly looked good

Word for this is.... D'oh! Nevemind, there is always the next meet

As Lynn said, it was nice to meet people again, and the singer was great - when he was quiet for 1/2 hour!

I would post my pics, but they came out terribly. I'm sure Lynn's will be much better!

Until the next meet... See ya!

Re: Bristol Meet

I was really looking forward to it as well! I might go on my own next week instead anyway, just to see if this so called pub singers any good

Lynn, the Mondeo would have blown your minds away so it's a good job I didn't come. You Italian car owners wouldn't be able to handle the site and sound of such a beast!

Hehe, good luck, I would take ear plugs Darren!! And as for us Italian car owners, we may not be able to handle it, but we'd sure have a good chuckle Hehe

Re: Bristol Meet

Yeah, had a good night too.

Mental note to self though, must make sure that i put petrol in the car in future and not assume that orange warning light is there for a laugh.

I ran out of petrol about 5 minutes down the road and then had to wait for the old dear to come out with 2 cans of unleaded!

Saw those who came last night drive on past, so thought i'd hide and spare the ridicule

That's unfortunate! Well, at least you are now a little wiser regarding fuel levels!
