Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 Lusso

Alfa Service Centres - Gloucestershire

Hi,
I live in Gloucester and own an Alfa 159 2.4 '210'. The car has low miles (only 25K, for a '57' plate) but I purchased this car without service history. So, I am inclined to get a full service done. But, I've heard a lot of negatives about Alfa Dealers.
So, it would really help if you guys could suggest some reliable Main / Independent Specialists for the car, who are genuine, reliable and not a rip-off.
Thanks.

I have used Simonstone on the Bath Rd for many years. They used to be a main Alfa dealer and are still an authorised Alfa service centre. Prices are not that cheap, but they are reliable and trustworthy and when they give a quote they stick to the price (unlike other garages I have used in the past!) They will also quote prices over the phone for standard servicing or specific part replacement, so definitely worth a call. Just ask for the service dept.

Alternatively you could try an Indie for a better price. I will leave recommendations on those to others.

We also use Simonstone for regular work. If we're looking for
something out of the ordinary we go to Alfarama in North London.

I recently discovered Duncan Slade, an Independent Alfa Romeo specialist in Bristol. I found his work to be satisfactory and much more reasonably priced than Simonstone, and his technical knowledge on Alfas is exemplary. He's affiliated with Alfa Net in Fishponds and might be worth looking up if you need some work done.

Good experienced Alfa specialist....Blade alfa use them for their problem vehicles..which speaks volumes about the dealers.

Same here ..... although my sister and brother-in-law have used Pete for years (at least 5) and wouldn't take their X-19 or the new Brera anywhere else and they're both fussy buggers!

Have to agree - I'd trust NJS Pershore ahead of any Alfa Dealer. I drive up there from Stroud and have found no reason to go anywhere else. I've heard mixed stories about various service centres, but you only ever hear good things about NJS.
