I've only been living down this way since january this year, definately a lot warmer this way by far. I've started to develop a slight tan, well as tanned as a northerner can get.
I should mention I was born in lancashire.

By colour you mean pastey! Takes a lot of effort to stay this white and pale.

I'm half way there, my father was a glaswegian.
Like Billy Connely said, it take ages and a lot of effort to mantain this tan as his natural skin colur is blue!
