Sorry to vent my anger and frustration on the forum, but is it just me or should all the t*ssers out there who can't Park their cars in car parks without hitting other cars, then driving away, be put up against a wall and shot!!

I parked my GTV in the local medical centre car park while I went for physio.
I chose a space against a wall to protect it, and made sure that there was ample space behind me should anyone want to park there.
When I came out the space behind me was still empty, however a silver Vectra had parked two spaces behind.

As I was walking back to my car the driver of the Vectra was walking away form it, looking in the direction of the GTV.
Thinking that he was an admirer of the marque I nodded towards him as I got into my car, the guy continued looking at the car as I drove off.

When I got home I looked at the rear near side of the bumper and noticed a couple of large scuffs :wow:

After the initial shock, anger and frustration I managed to cut and polish it, but there's still a slight mark!

NOT A HAPPY BUNNIE, is an understatement!!!

It's often because they don't care. They do not realise people take pride in their cars, it's beyond their thinking to be upset by a scratch or a dent. I refused to fix a bloke's Citroen boot lock on Friday because his car was so dirty inside. I just said I'm not getting in there mate and walked away. He looked at me as if I was mad. His car had more scrapes on it than all my cars I ever owned put together (and more crap inside).

I suppose the fact that he was driving a Vectra shoulda alerted me to the fact that his eyesight wasn't that good!!

A hoo, on the bright side, it's prompted me to give it the Auto Glym treatment as soon as the weather allows.

Thanks to all for indulging me in my rant:thumbs:

I sympathise as I too have had a similar issue and hope you get it sorted :(

About 18 months ago and within the space of about three weeks, I had two separate incidents whereby I had parked on a fairly quiet and wide residential street near work. On returning to my car, I noticed a dent and scrape along the rear wheel arch, followed by a larger scrape right down to the metal in places on the front wing/bumper.

I cannot comprehend how these people could a) have caused such damage if they were in 'control' of a vehicle in the setting that I was,and b) how they could not have noticed doing the damage (I would imagine my alarm would have been triggered both times). No note, no witnesses.

Unfortunately, I am still yet to be able to afford the repairs (can't quite justify insurance route but several hundred to have fixed properly) so have a constant reminder of their contemptuous arrogance every time I go to my car.

It's the audacity and selfishness of their actions that gets me. I hope life ends up treating these people accordingly. I mean, imagine if I strolled into their house while they're watching TV and I smashed their nice plasma screen up before brazenly strolling back out the door without a care. They'd probably be apoplectic with rage! Yet, their equivalent damage to someone's well cared for and rare car doesn't seem to bother them. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

I feel for you. Normally if i ever see anyone eyeing my car i always have a good look around it if parked in car park. I have to admit i park the Alfa so it blocks the space next to me to prevent people parking there!
I have had people dent my cars before, however some people have been a little worse off for it. (no i didn't smash their face in but their dent may have been bigger!).
I was sat in my car one day and someone slammed their door open on the side of my car and completely ignored me. I merely opened my door harder onto theirs as a sort of well ooooops!(nice to have an old run about aswell that i don't care about as much lol)
