Been working in the background looking for potential meet or event ideas but if I am being honest it's not as easy as I thought it would be. Geographically the area is fairly wide so it's understandable when there is a disappointing turnout and take up for some of the events and meets. Think perhaps what has to be tapped into is the perception of the meetings. The majority if not all of my "workmates" think I am a bit of an ageing life crisis nutter going out to enjoy the company of passionate Alfa Owners , generally the vision is one of a group of "lads" burning up the motorway and playing trance music at ear splitting levels. The reality is we are simply a group of car owners that share a common desire to see other Alfa Romeo's and share tips and ideas with guys that just love their Alfa's.

This is where YOU come in .....Any ideas that you have are more than welcome , it's a open forum and it's your opportunity to get involved. There has been a good few folks joined up over the last few months and I have tried to stimulate more interest. The vibes I get from some of the newbie's post and pictures is that they are no different from the guys that come along to meetings on a regular basis.

The link below is what is happening so far in 2014 ....we need some help to fill the gaps. The RSVP events play an important part in building enthusiasm and numbers so please stick a maybe in even if your not sure.

Feel free to make any comments or suggestions in this thread even if they are negative as it will help us going forward.

And if anyone is buying a 4c please get in here , I cannot think of a better magnet for our meetings .....would bring plenty of tissues though to catch the drool...:):p

Cheers

Stuart

For info South Scotland patch covers all post codes North of Dumfries up to around Stirling (roughly drawing a line across the map) ....monthly PM pub meets are now under review , think the Sunday morning breakfast meets appear to work better. Other regions have "curry" nights .....opinions welcome , that will be a yuch from David:vomit: :p

Event diary 2014 has now been revised. The monthly midweek PM meets have now given way to more favorable Sunday morning breakfast meets.
OK, pay attention at the back. The first Breakfast Meet of 2014 is in the diary for Sunday, 16th March : http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/south-scotland/565521-aoss-mad-march-breakfast-meet.html .

As we did with the pub meets, these will alternate between East and West, and will replace the midweek meets for the foreseeable future EXCEPT for May when we have so many things going-on we seem to have run out of Sundays so for that month only, the Tuesday night meet still stands.

Hey I suggested the sundays ages ago and the first one 12 cars fantastic or what the is got to be a F&B in most cities around the southern area so road trip breakfast chin wag are all good so if we all agree then most places around an hour drive change the cities monthly and bobs your uncle

All the best from granny that likes to suck eggs
