[/B]Event : CHRISTMAS MEAL - CANCELLED

Date : SATURDAY, 8TH DECEMBER 2012

Start Time : 20.00

Location : CIBO E VINO, 22 - 28 STIRLING ARCADE, KING STREET, STIRLING, FK8 1AX
http://www.ciboevino.co.uk/ , https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Ar...de,+Stirling+FK8+1AX,+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=18

After all the weeks of waiting, the decision has finally been reached and a provisional booking made for up to 20 hungry alfisti, based on your responses in the 'Straw Poll' thread.

The restaurant is located in the middle of the Stirling Arcade, which can be accessed from either Murray Place (entrance at the mini-roundabout at the top of Station Road) or King Street (entrance just down from its junction with Baker Street and opposite the McAree Bros store).

PARKING : Refer to Google map above - There is on-street parking (free after 17.45) on Dumbarton Road, Corn Exchange Road, Spittal Street and Baker Street. Off Baker Street, there is also a 50-space car park (again free after 17.45) in Dalgleish Court (to get to it you need to go up Spittal Street then cut through Bank Street to come down Baker Street). Murray Place (right from the mini-roundabout at the top of Station Road) and Barnton Street also offer (free after 17.45) on-street parking spaces. There is a large car park at the railway station (accessed via the station forecourt - you cannot enter from the roundabout on Goosecroft Road), but please note that the Pay & Display is in operation 24 hours and will cost £3.50 flat fee (exact change needed) to park up until midnight. Please also note that Murray Place (left from the mini-roundabout at the top of Station Road) and the bottom section of King Street are both 'Buses and Taxis Only' areas so you cannot drive around directly from one arcade entrance to the other.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT : Stirling Railway Station is about a 2 minute walk, and Stirling Bus Station about a 3 minute walk, from the Murray Place entrance to the arcade.

IMPORTANT : In addition to RSVPing here, could you please contact the restaurant direct on 01786 474888 between now and 11th November, and ask them to put your name(s) on the list for the 'Alfa Romeo' event on 8th December. They will be asking for a £5 per head deposit, but not until after the list is completed. Bookings attempted after 11th November can't be guaranteed as they obviously have limited space and may have released any spare seats in our allocation to other clients, so get in quick to avoid disappointment.

The cost will be £25.95 each, plus a discretionary 10% service charge for a group booking. Here's the menu again just to remind you of the culinary delights that await :

On TripAdvisor, it's rated #2 out of 116 restaurants in Stirling ( http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurants-g191266-Stirling_Scotland.html ) - I've only eaten here once before (a couple of weeks ago) and it was brilliant,:thumbs:. Licking my lips in anticipation already, :D

The restaurant have kindly extended the 'deadline' for bookings until this coming Saturday (17th) to give a bit of extra time to the great undecided out there. After then, they will release the reserved places to others as their bookings are starting to build and I don't want to end up having to pay deposits for a load of empty seats,.

If there are no others 'takers' by the weekend, I will regrettably be forced to cancel this event, :(.
