Aye it's a lovely machine to drive is Davids car. I thought the 1750 TBi was a peach of an engine. However it'll prob need to be diseasel for me . . . . . . . . . But really taken with the 159 even in the short distance I drove it.
Give me a call at Western mate. Got a very similar car coming back today as a part exchange. Been maintained by us from new with no expense spared.
I'm there from 9 to 5. The car will be in at about 11am.

^^ If you could that would be great but don't go out your way - only if you are passing. It looks a beauty .
Looked at the one in Western today too and it's lovely . . . . . Just unsure about the Titanio Grey but I'm msure it'll be lovely when polished and under a non-grey sky
I shall pop in on monday after work.anything in paticular you want to know.
i shall go over bodywork with a fine toothcomb and tyre and wheel condition and also interior for any marks .
Just the usual - condition, service history etc. I may try to have a scoot through myself through the week sometime if I can slip off un-noticed I feel with Alfas you can tell pretty quickly if it's a good 'un or not
I really appreciate your help on this one - it's not a wife friendly subject so I'll find the car then broach the obstacle . . . . . . . . . . Still don't know why I'm thinking of changing as the GT is just great at the moment. However temptaion is in my path and I do :inlove: the 159
Anybody going to look at this for Steven, pop the bonnet and check the coolant rail that runs along the front of the engine block for this : http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/general-alfa-discussion/192770-2-4-jtd-please-check.html - (see my post a few down that thread for photos of what to look for). That thread gives a brief overview of what can happen, usually at the most inopportune time - in my case on a Saturday afternoon at the highest point on the road through Andorra, . If it's still the original set-up, then it could be a bit of a bargaining tool for a price drop as it's £300+ for the updated replacement out of warranty. -
Thanks David. It's perhaps immaterial now as the car is sold . . . . . The old adage of if you're not fast you're last holds true. I'll see what the figures work out at for the one at Western I drove the other day. Need to budget for a wheel upgrade on that one though as the standard multispokes look like bogging furniture castors . . .
I'm with you on that, I had a set of them for my winter tyres and couldn't wait to get them off and back in storage. Here's hoping that global warming kicks in big-time in the next 6 months so they never have to 'grace' my bella again, .
Hi Steven popped in today he sold the car on sat.I was glad i actually popped in i did not know he had a workshop aswell and seemed a nice knowledgable chap too handy to know keep me away from main dealer prices.
The car was still on the forecourt looked really nice ,i was tempted on a 159 but my choice would have been the ti,not sure of the teledials on a 159 but thats just my choice ,thnxs for the coments on my Gt by the way Stephen.
It was a lovely drive Graham. AM kinda smitten admittedly. Wonder how it looks all cleaned up?? Interior was lovely. Anyway keep in touch and we'll see where this leads. Thanks for your help though as well graham it is appreciated.
Or you could stick up the proverbial two fingers to the tree-huggers : Auto100.co.uk : ALFA ROMEO 159 3.2 V6 JTS Q4 LUSSO 4DR . At least you don't need to budget for bigger wheels on this one but probably best to keep in your bank manager's good books though when you need that second mortgage at the fuel pumps, .
C'mon Steve by a Mito QV! At least you wouldn't have to drive a diesel and you will always surprise folk at how quick it goes
