Here's the bare outline for the coming year. Not a lot there yet (and yes, one of them is already in the past) but if you have any ideas please let myself or Damien (Dawsub) know.
I'm thinking of trying out a Sunday morning breakfast run like the ones AONS run - what do you think? Also, different locations for the monthly pub meets would be good so we can spread the events around the region, so get your thinking caps on please for suitable venues.

The dates aren't set in stone, Aimee. I only 'chose' them all as a Thursday as my OCD forces me to be consistent, :D. Just like I'm proposing that the venues vary, so too could the spot(s) in the diary. In fact, there you go - you've just volunteered,. Pick a venue and a date that suits you and we'll all try to be there.

Hopefully, yes, there will be some runs, in addition to my Midsummer Madness special that I'm piecing together. All ideas welcomed on this score too.

Hi, Add Thurs 29th of march provisionally for a Dundee run/Pub Grub Meet.

Will post some thoughts and firm up details from responses.

I will maintain list of names on aoss but it's open to all alfa owners so feel free to post details with link to thread I start on any other alfa forums you may be on. I have/will post on alfa155 forum and 156 forum.

OK, so for the March meet it's back to our old haunt in the bar of the Premier Inn at Deer Park, Livingston, just off the M8 at Junction 3 - as always from about 19.30 onwards.

Hopefully, we'll see some of you there - I was a bit lonely to say the least at the one last month, :(.

a.k.a Johnny No Mates,

I might make this David as I don't think I'll be at anything until the May Cupar event. Also, I want something to take my mind off things as my sister is emigrating the next day to NZ - after seeing her off, some Alfa talk and a pint could be ideal.

If you can make the April one a Wednesday night I can go.
Your wish is my command, :D. Wednesday 18th April it is - now I've just got to sort out a venue. Looking for something around Glasgow / Lanarkshire if anybody has any ideas?

Hopefully a few more can be encouraged to venture out as 'our' second monthly meet found me in conversation with myself again. If anybody turned up after 8.30pm - sorry, I'd got bored by then and gone home. :(

#27 ·
I had thought of that one for this month's meet but as I'd had a Falkirk area one last month with a zero turn-out, :( , I thought I'd play safe and go back to our old haunt in Livi - only for that to be a wash-out too!

If I can't find anything closer to Glasgow (ideally Lanarkshire), I'll maybe just go with this suggestion - thanks for that Ricky,.

#29 ·
Fratelli in Whifflet Street Coatbridge has parking too - just a suggestion as I don't know if I can make it.

Otherwise the Eagle Lodge/Oregano in Bishopbriggs has a huge car park too.

OK - decision made. The lounge bar of the Eagle Lodge / Oregano Restaurant in Bishopbriggs it is - good suggestion Steven,. Details posted in the diary.

If I can get a rough indication of who all might be attending, I'll even risk booking a table (or 2 - nothing like being optomistic, :D) to ensure we all get a seat as it can get quite busy there of an evening by all accounts.

Count me in David! First pub meet I can get to I'm not missing it!!

I should be OK as well :)
Great stuff, Ricky.

Did you manage to negotiate another visit to Broxburn?
Work in progress as we 'speak'. The 159 is in their bodyshop for some more paintwork under warranty, :( , and I've arranged to meet with John Forret when I collect her tomorrow to discuss the finer points such as suitable dates for a repeat event (which he is again very keen to host by the way, :D).

#41 ·
Mi-to! Should be ok anyway. I actually missed you by about 10 mins as I passed by at the last 'Marie Celeste' meet David

Hopefully this will be a go-er and good to catch up with folk. :)

P.S. Anyone thinking of going/including the Kittochside (East Kilbride)/National Museum of Rural Life classic car show? It's a static show and seemed pretty good a couple of years ago with a few Alfa's present but I missed it last year. Think it's in May?

Unfortunately, as it's on the 6th of May it clashes with the AOS weekend in Inverary so I won't be able to attend but for anybody who fancies a look, here it is : Classic Cars .
