This is the first car i have had with cruise control,i think it is great along the m8 in the morning but had a different experience this morning in the rain, driving along cruise on hit some heavy water and car was all over the place never experienced this before but after a wee google it turns out when the car hits heavy water it trys to slow down which kicks in the throttle on the cruise to maintain speed causing the car to aquaplane across the water can also happen on ice got away with it lesson learned .wont be doing that again.

Aside from staying under speed limits, especially in motorway road works, I feel it's a bit overrated on our busy roads. I had a 300bhp BMW and the cruise would let the speed slip by about 3mph then abruptly burst into action. That gets your attention, too!

What should happen when it odes that is that it kicks in the traction control at that point and when it does it disables the cruise control until your next stop / start cycle as it now knows its too dangerous to use.

You really shouldnt go through puddles with the power on anyway at high speed, always lift off or disengage power, puts more weight over the front wheels and you dont get this problem.
