Ended up buying 2008 GT Blackline 2.0 JTS, I had been on the lookout for about 6 months prior to that and the only options available within budget consisted of mainly very high milage diesels or 1.8 TS models that just didn't tick all the boxes.
I'd have been grinning like a right nutter if I'd seen that v6 back then.
It's not exactly priced to sell in my opinion. At that price you could get something similar and maybe even slightly newer with a dealer warranty etc. This is a private sale however. It looks like a very lovely example though and I would have thought after a year up for sale at least one punter would have taken it.
It has been. Up until recently the price was too high. I know that myself. Its only in the last few months I have priced to sell. As stated before that it was a case of seeing if an offer came in. Now is the case that she could really be doing with going- just not practical for a dog IMO.
Thanks Guys. Yeah I started with the price near 9 k less than six months ago, partly because i wasnt too fussed about selling it. I did have interest at the time but the offers were not what i wanted.
Yeah the price I think is fair considering the condition, mileage and all belts/ servicing done.
The dog has moved in now on a perm basis so I am needing an estate now to get it about.
However if it doesnt go at this price I am going to buy a banger to get around and garage her up for the next year or so.
Unfortunately a car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. Guide book has yours at £5,400 retail from a dealer. Now if I were a betting man I'd say that they will perhaps drop another couple of grand over the next few years, before slowly creeping back up in value. It is in my opinion a future classic. Most GT's are 1.9 diseasels after all and the V6 will always be looked upon as the one to have.
GTV's are the same, loads of threads in the 916 GTV lounge arguing about values of various models. Like I said, It's only worth what someone will pay for it.
I think it parks in the same building as me, looks good, i.e its not just tarted up for the pictures. Obviously doesnt get used as much as my 159 which is permanently manky.
Ha it is!! I have seen your 159 in silver? Very nice wheels mate!! Lovely looking car. Small world or what!! Thanks CJ Romeo!! Have you seen my mates Guilletta? Talked him into getting it!!. Its heading towards an Alfa lock up down there
If its the white one, then yes. - my Car is grey - its not that dirty that it looks like manky silver surely! its the Ti with the 19inch spokey wheels
When I was first thinking about changing cars from my old 147 TS I was tempted to get in touch with you about the GT. That was when you first put it up for sale.
I couldn't afford the change at the time though so never got past the 'thought' stage. When the time came though I realised it was a 147 GTA I wanted. Your GT does look like a cracking buy for someone.
gutted!!! I'd been keeping an eye on this too since it went on sale, but things just refused to fall into place to allow me to make an offer! Ah well, maybe one day!!
