Grovelling some help here. Would anyone with a GTV Cup (or even GTV Cup alloys) be able to accompany me to get a paint colour match on the wheel. Can't seem to get a paint code for this and this would appear to be the best way to get a colour match.
When I was matching a wheel paint a while back to touch in some scuffs a local paint shop told me 99% of alloy wheels were finished with Wurth paint. I bought a spray can as per the link and the match was spot on. I've attached a wee link here. HTH, Scott.
I normally go over to Scott Paints in Airdrie. They have a spectrometer which can colour match hence my asking if anyone could come over with me to get amatch. I am getting all sorts of different names for the silver but silver chrome seems to be cropping up a fair bit. . .
You are a legend:thumbs:. I'll drop you a PM, but if you could be so good as to come with me to a paint mixing shop (I tend to use Scott Paints in Airdrie, however I'll come to one closer to you if need be) or I can come to you as I'm only over in Lenzie.
Just trying to paint my 17" Teledials in the Cup colour as I think it'll look good against my Stromboli GT.
Scott paints are excellent. I have used them to match paints in the past without codes & they are more than happy to spend the time and get the match spot on.
