BUT
Spritzer To quote a well kent frase..."You should huv got a 166 mate"
ah did yer commute a long long time ago in a K reg Vauxhall Victor 2000 FD..what a motor dead comfy but not as m,any motors on the road then and those traffic lights at Breich when you didnae go the motorway...AAARGH.they were at green for ages when yuou saw them in the distance and just as you approach,no other cars onywhere they went tae red. Then you see one coming from the right and just as it got to the lights they went to red against him.
If I ever got the guy hiding in the bushes ..Well thats another story
Have now raised the height of the seat to it's maximum and have acheived a compromise where I can still reach the steering wheel while am able to operate the pedals without my foot going to sleep after 10 minutes.
I do spend about 5 hours a day in the car with an hours commute to Edinburgh and an hour back and the rest of the time driving round Edinburgh.
My opinion has always been, "muscle weighs more than fat!"
Can't see how exactly that would apply to me though.
I'm up just to the west of Cumbernauld and use the M9 - so much quieter than the M8.
However, I've given up on the joys of the A80 roadworks and take the scenic route from Kilsyth along the Kelvin Valley.
The A803 is a great drive at the early hour that I head along it. A sunny day, a good CD on, the wee Alfa sweeping through the bends - you can't get a better drive to work.
By the way, the new seating position seems to be working. My back feels a bit better but it seems a bit unnatural to me being so high up as I usually like to sit low down in a car.
Was the 147 ever offered with four wheel drive?
It has the perfect seating position for it!
Jim.
