Hi Guys
looking at prices at getting q2 and clutch fitted in scotland, i live in dumfries but i dont mind travelling a little to go to the right garage
i normally use several different garages down south on my many visits, but i dont have any upcoming visits so looking a little more local
does anyone recommend anywhere where to get clutch and q2 fitted?
i have family in glasgow area so i could always drop off and stay up there
thanks

cool thanks pud, doing the research as i really need to get this diff and clutch sorted before i end up blowing the diff
i not really driving the car all that much at the mo prob only 3-4 times in last few weeks one of which was long journey north to south and back again lol
the money i saving in petrol going toward getting it done lol
gearbox oil i got 10 litres of that in my garage when i bulk bought some before christmas, works out cheaper in the long run:)

only done 3-4k on new gearbox oil
yeah i got 75/90w castrol gl5 stuff, have to check now exactly what it is though
i really wanna get this sorted out as soon as, i keep reading ppl's threads on my diff has gone it starting to play on my mind and dont fancy having to pay out to reslove such a failure, since i still short on cash
only used the car a few times in the last few weeks so saving quite a bit in fuel so that will pay towards the parts :)
i do miss driving it though, my lil bro corsa just doesn't sound the same lol or drive the same hehe
what is it that takes the time to fit?

try 'mclennans' in loanhead edinburgh a proper independant specialist in alfa romeo, you wouldn't believ what sort of alfa's they have in the compound (just near ikea) they service my 156 gta, and really really look after it, they did a clutch on my 156 , £399 all in, and they have q2's in stock also, the telephone number is 0131 440 0597, ask for stewart, could'nt be more thorough!!

q2 delayed for bit longer again after paying out for yet more wedding stuff, however good news is i getting married in 7 weeks so really not long to wait now :)
i did phone up a few of the garages above and got prices, so not long now.
other good news is the future wife agrees it needs to be done :)
i will post my results as soon as i have them

i tink i gone a little mad, but then maybe you guys can re-persuade me
since i had a little issue with exhaust blowing i used some of my q2 money and (honeymoon savings) to get replacement exhaust
my tinking now is that when i get q2 fitted i only get diff done and then spend money that would normally get spent on clutch to get eibach arb's installed instead, am i mad????
i work it out and the q2 clutch combo seems to only save roughly £100 quid
the car had new clutch in may 2009 so i am unsure whether i just being stupid ????????
advice needed please (i cant keep putting it off)

ahhhh! good question pud? other options are Alfastumper and Whiteline?
What is recommended?

Aziraphale has just had to send back a Whiteline front ARB due to fouling on the lower wishbones.. Although thats the only bad thing I've heard about them. What are the Alfastumper ones like price-wise?
