Xtreme Go-Karting Centre - Newbridge, Sunday 6th February 11am.
Continuing the very successfull AOS winter Go-Karting event meet and Italian meal.......I have booked the new Xtreme karting venue in Newbridge, which is due to open soon and be even better than the Falkirk centre.
It will be a slightly competative Mini GP event with prizes similar to last year with a practice session, 2 heats and then a final for everyone at a cost of £40-45 depending on numbers.
Meeting at the centre for 10-10.30, to get sorted and be in plenty time for the briefing.
This year instead of me taking the deposits, drivers will be able to pay Xtreme direct.
Please RSVP on here if your interested, and I'll put the link up to the site for payment when its available.
Dinomito and amclean were prize winners last year after a very tight final.
Italian restaurant for food afterwards to be confirmed, anyone with any recomendations nearby please let me know.
Just to add that friends and family will be welcome as always.
We'll be getting some extra laps included free again, and apparently the website will allow us to register as drivers online too..... which saves a bit of time on the day filling out forms!
Philip, what time roughly do you finish at when you do the karting + meal. Just wondering because I really want to go but I also have to go to the *cough* saturdays *cough* gig that night so need to be back to glasgow for 7pm.

I'm in. Trying to lure Louise with "Italian food" she's no keen on the kertying so I'll need to use some smoke and mirrors to get her in one! Nae bather tae me! I'll tell the guys at work too. If we get a turnout like last year then it'll be a cracker!!!
I'm actually going to check about that, as I was thinking like previous years a deposit would do this far in advance.....and also if we get enough drivers the price per driver will go down a bit.
Unfortunately they cant set up the shop to do a deposit only option.
Price in the Xtreme shop is now £42.50 for 16-19 drivers, if we dont make that number which we should then it will be £45 and the extra can be paid on the day.
Similar to what we paid last year, but a longer track in a brand new facility.
Thats me got an email from Xtreme today asking about numbers.
So sorry to be a pain, I know its just after xmas....... but its only 3 weeks away on Sunday!
Can people please try to confirm and pay within the next week or so, and pass the xtreme shop link onto anymore guests your bringing along.
I'm sure we'll get a few late entries and paying on the day shouldn't be a problem anyway, but it'll be good to get the paid driver numbers up.
Cheers
Cant wait to try out this new track!
Philip
What's the script with regards to paying Phil. Me and a mate are coming along, so do I pay you, or Xtreme Karting directly? Also are we getting a discount for numbers??
Sorry if this has been asked before - early onset of alzheimers . . . . .. . . . . . . .
Hope you are all looking forward to your event on the 6th!
We opened the centre on the 26th of December and had absolutely fantastic feedback. You are more than welcolme to view this on our Facebook page!
You can find details and pictures (oh and a Youtube link!) by clicking here
I will also arrange for some extra laps for you all, but if you could go on our shop and pay as soon as possible that would be appreciated: Xtreme Karting Shop
Looking forward to seeing you all soon, and Phil says he is going to whip all your a$$es!
I'm just waiting on my laptop to finish it's virus scan then I'll be on booking it.
Edit: When I put in my address and stuff on the order page it goes straight to Step 4 and the only payment thats selected in WorldPay is that normal if you're gonna pay with a card?
Sorry Aimee, I cant remember what it was like when I booked.
Maybe someone else will be able to help, or drop Scott at Xtreme a quick email if your unsure of anything.
Dont listen to everything he says though........I only said I'm going to beat the other Rep this year!
Well I've got one less member of Team Bruce to compete with this year and you all know I had a slower Kart last year!
Rodger gtv68 and his 2 lads are hopefully going to join us, one of them being the xmas 2008 event winner.......which could make getting on the podium slightly harder!
Any drivers not paid up, please try and do so as soon as possible so myself and Xtreme can get a reasonable idea of numbers attending.
And anyone still thinking about it feel free to get in touch if you've any questions, I'm sure you'd all enjoy it anyway!
I can confirm though that anybody deciding to come at the last minute will be able to pay and register on the day, but please try and let me know if your can and make sure your there for 10.30 for registration and briefing!
All done Philip. Counting down the days I'm still waiting to see if my other half is getting that Sunday off or not but I'll keep you posted.
