I think I will give this meeting a miss as I don't really want to be heading off to Edinbrugh for 8pm as it can take a few hours to get a good lighting set-up. Plus I don't have a enough flash guns to light a car in the dark! Have a good meeting.
I only have two flash guns and triggers. (the photo taken above has using five (It pays to know someone who sells the gear! )) Are you using the cheapy PT04 triggers? If so we could club together
I would be interested in getting somthing together but I'm not sure how it is best to work with storbist stuff. Its best to have one photographer in control and a couple assistants/photographers who borrow the trigger, any more than than it becomes combersome.
Would it just be the case of driving the diffrent cars in and out of the set and taking the same shot with diffrent cars and ajusting the exsposure for the colour?
It could be a really good meeting but there is a danger that if every body with a camera wants to get one decent shot of every car there then it could take all day. (and empty several AA batteries, That last meeting I was at we went through 50 AA battires just because there where so many photographers/ Smart arses who seemed to get a kick out of triggering the flashes with out taking a photo!
Yes, its just cheapo triggers I have as one shoot I done a few years back needed 10 lights, so buying 10 pocket wizard units was not financially viable!
Not sure what Joe has in mind, but if everyone wanted decent shots we could be there all night!!!!
I fear blurry shots may follow! I'm free on the day from 6 onwards
