Guys,

If you know anyone looking for a good facelift 156, then my friend is selling his. It's StescoG66 's old car, and has been looked after by Chick McNally over the last few years. Just recently had a new steering rack, and as Stesco will confirm, well serviced over the years.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll contact him, he's not a car forum type guy.

Cheers
Alan

Why is he selling Al? I can confirm it was in great nick when I sold it and ran like a dream. I kinda miss it really . . . . . .miss that revvy rorty petrol engine.
It was looking good when I last saw it too. Any questions regarding it then I can vouch for its history from June 2007 to December 2009. Bet he'll have Veolces on the blower soon . . . . . I did . . . . .

Hi Steve, late reply, got a new baby in the house, when he sleeps I sleep :)

He tells me he's looking for either a diesel Focus or Mondeo for his weekly commutes to Aberdeen. Think he had a few niggles which had to be sorted at Chick's and wants to go back to something more basic so to speak. He had a Fiesta that ran and ran with no issues, that's all he's after.

I thought that may be the case. That car runs as sweet as a nut. I heard about the steering rack and handbrake cable. Other than that Chick was commenting he hadn't seen the car in a while

Many congrats on the new arrival. GTA SWon the way now too perhaps . . .

Haha, no unfortunately not, the mrs doesn't like the GTA, mainly due to the **** poor turning circle, partly due to me constantly warning her to be careful not to damage the front bumper on kerbs etc. We sold my wifes car (was sad to see it go, an AMG C32) and bought a Volvo XC90 - it's much more practical.

Congrats on the 2 new arrivals Alan. :)
Hope the 156 JTS finds a new alfaowner soon!

How's the wee one getting on Alan? Hope you are all well.

Did John get a buyer in the end for the 156? Was almost tempted to say to my bro, but would have been out his price range.

If it is my old car you have bought, then don't hesitate to drop me a line. I can fill you in on my tenture easily. As I said further up the page I do miss the 156. Mine was an 04 plate in Ivory Mist if that helps narrow it down. You'll see it in my gallery

Hi Gerry

If you are talking about my car, its a GTA, that's not an aftermarket kit.

I have used Chick and do recommend him. There are also other specialists, but he's the guy I use.

@ Will, is it a gold 156, my friend traded it for a diesel focus, sad eh?

Alan

Edit: damn tapatalk, never saw the 2nd page of replies, doh.

Gerry, amcleans car is a GTA, body is standard!

You cant get an add on bodykit to look like that, but could get complete replica bumpers etc I'm sure.
