Having owned one of these in the past I'm sure you'll enjoy the grunt and sound of the V6.

Just make sure she's had her belts done though....as a failure of these can lead to you saying goodbye to the engine early doors.;)

Good luck.

Oh and silver with red leather is best in my humble opinion.

Good choice........but the TS GTVs are a bit cheaper to run and insure being group 16, the V6 is group 18!
Mine might be for sale soon, if you want a look sometime.
It will be at Hopetoun on the 15th August anyway! :)

I had a good long think TS or the V6! its got to be the V6, it might take a bit longer and more cash but its worth it im sure!!
I thought originally i might get a worse for wear one and get it back up to a great standard, but ill need to see what happens

hmmmmm not you all have me thinking about colours:lol:, silver might not be a good idea seen as the 147 is silver

Thanks Alfa 5!, iv learnt to look for one with the belts done after i got stung with the 147 after i bought it!

Cheers Craig!,

You thinking about selling yours already Phil:confused:, i may take a look actually:thumbs:, to see the difference between the two:), although i think its got to be the V6, the only alternative to a GTV would be a GTA and thats not going to happen anytime soon!!

not long till hoptoun right enough!!, iv any of you have not already met me, i will be the one pestering folk with the GTVs!!!

Well its not impossible on your budget tjg . Spacehopper ( James ) picked up a PH1 Sargasso Green V6 GTV with Tan leather interior for a grand the day before the Centenery run, so he could go on the trip . It could shift and was in great nick . Best of luck on the hunt !!!

Yeah I know what you mean so if you can afford the V6 insurance go for it, everyone should try a V6 once! :)
But with insurance prices going up.....even the TS is now costing me almost the same as the GTA did.

If I was to get another Gtv, I really wouldn't get a silver one, whilst they might hide the dirt quite well, imho they really don't shine up that well (perhaps I need to work on polishing it properly) and I don't think I'd ever get a silver car ever again, to the point where if someone were to suggest swapping my Gtv with one of a different colour, I'd probably say yes!
