I've received word from my contact at Western that ARUK are planning a track day/night at Knockhill in August and he has asked me if any of our members would be interested in going along. I will have more info for you all after i've spoken to them in person on Saturday re prices and times etc.
So anybody interested?
I know that Cloverleaf had planned one earlier in the year and it was cancelled due to a lack of interest, so it would be good if we could maybe show our support to this one.
This is also what I need to find out, if they are taking a fleet of cars along for us to give an "Italian service" then they will find they get a better response. They have done this in the past, but that all stopped ages ago. If we have to take our own cars then so be it. I'll see what develops on Saturday
is this different from the one on the 6th? i just got the afternoon off work to go to that one so weather permitting i'll be there. missed the last 2 due to weather and lack of petrol funds! (bloody v6! )
The question I asked was is it an AROC event. The reply was no, it's an ARUK Ltd event. I will find out more info for all on Saturday. Reading between the lines though it looks like a rescheduled Cloverleaf track day.

quick question, (to the experienced track day guys and girls) Ive never been to a track day and was wondering if i took my car which is a mito 120 tb which is obviously a road car and not track prepared on the track and drove it as fast as possible round a few laps are you likely to destroy your tyres brakes/disks or clutch or anything else for that matter ??????
i would be intrested in coming along as i would like to push my car to the edge of its abilities but wouldnt really be keen to use my own car if 10 mins of fun is going to cost me hundreads in repairs.
As long as you stay on the Tarmac it can cost very little, we did Oulton Park today and the most it cost me was my diesel. Expect things like tyres and brake pads to obviousley take a bit of stick, but if it's a well run track day, you'l be allowed to run as slow as you like and so reduce the risk of going off. Give it a go
Nothing other than it looks like a September date through the week that will roll into the evening. I'll be speaking to Western tomorrow on a different matter, and I'll bring this up again.
Track time as a passenger in the new cars was mentioned also. Watch this space
Looks like it will be 23rd of September. 11:30 start, with a light buffet. Go Karting 1st then a dynamic ride in MiTo, there will probably be Giulietta and Brera on track too. Then from 4:30 onwards you can take your own cars on to the track. Costs are £49 per car with an extra £20 for extra drivers.
oh would you believe it, im now off work that week
keeping a watch out for confirmation
