Scottish Italian Car Day

As you will no doubt have seen from Painter Girl's thread the AROC Scottish Italian Car Day is on the 25th of May at Craigtoun Country park near St Andrews in fife.
AROC have very kindly extended an invite to Alfaowner.com to come along to the event. If we can give the AROC Scottish Section an idea of numbers they will provide a dedicated area for us.
This has always been a great and well attended event, as many of you already know. With cars ranging from the beautiful to the very rare.
So, to avoid having to park half a mile outside the park (as may had to do last year, due to the high attendance), Get your name on the list now.
This goes out, not only to the AOSS gang, but all.
Thanks to Fife164 for the invite
And to Painter girl for highlighting the event in my absence

I have found it quicker to go to Dundee then across the Tay Bridge in the past.

Dont fancy a convoy though.

Re: Scottish Italian Car Day

Watch out for the Police when you go. They are always out and about in Fife when events are on. Got stopped a couple of years ago but got off whith it as there was only one of them.

I was in Crail yesterday and there must have been an event on at the Airfield. Coming into Crail there was a speed trap, turned the corner to park and the road was coned off, three police cars and a VOSA mobile inspection unit. They were pulling anyone in a modified Saxo by the looks of things.

So far, so good. Nearly 8000 miles up and there have not been any problems, though to be honest I would not expect any problems from any new car. Surprisingly refined for such an old design and average mpg is now up to 42 doing a fairly steady 70-80 mph commute.

Down sides are that it is still not very pretty, I miss the quick steering rack and the paint seems very soft, doesn't chip but does scratch too easily. (And I have already dinged two of the alloys!)

Nearly bought an old Bertone GTV last week but had to resist until the finances recover from Christmas and my holiday a couple of weeks ago. Maybe soon.

Re: Scottish Italian Car Day

Problem.

I was trying to get Ben's dad to have him on this day so that me and Grant could come up in the Spider, but that's fallen flat.

Unless either Ben or Grant can get a lift up from someone coming via this way we're not going to make it

I'm sure you could send a passenger with someone!

Think that Angel tuning would be up for it if someone asked anyway, if they've not confirmed or been asked by the AROC guys already.
