What?

Blast across Kent and Sussex in your Alfa

When?

2pm on Sunday 23rd October 2011

Where?

Station Approach
Battle
East Sussex
TN33 0DE

National Rail Details

The Route

We meet up at Battle Train Station to poke around each others' cars, and after a short while we set off and drive Northwest to Heathfield; on the first run I organised we ran this stretch of road the other way and it was pretty tasty. Then onwards North towards Tunbridge Wells, skirting Southwest around it and coming back down through the twisting country lanes of Groombridge and then across the Ashdown Forest. Here, we hop across to Nutley, and take A-Roads until Piltdown, taking the long way round the Uckfield Bypass to then run it coming back around, back up near Piltdown for a well-deserved pint at The Griffin in Fletching. It's also a highly regarded gastro pub, but it's pretty down to earth - so, good food if you're hungry

The Griffin Inn

Make the effort boys and girls - they're always worth it

Cracked my sump on a speedhump, and have oil dripping out.

If I can get my sump replaced in time, then I shoud be good to go.

Since I won't be a passenger in "Alfa Andy's" Spider for this run, I don't feel nervous one bit ..... Being a passenger is somewhat of a "OMFG" experience, as... "where have the control pedals gone" "and I don't have a steering wheel either"

Should be a gooden, forecast is Sun/18C It better not bloody rain as just spent this afternoon giving the Bella a full valet. So, within an hour tomorrow it'll be splatted with bugs 'n flies..oh well

Sorry guys/gals,

Not gonna be able to make it tomorrow.

Replaced sump no problem, but whilst doing so had problem with oil heat exchanger developing a hole, so that has been changed as well...

Also replaced the drivers side outer cv joint, as that was spewing grease everywhere.

Trouble is, while removing the driveshaft, I damaged the front brake line, and can't get it replaced, gotta wait for days until i receive a replacement.

Just wondering what's next
