The Plan:
PLEASE NOTE: THIS BOOKING PAGE IS CURRENTLY FOR US ONLY UNTIL THE 17TH JANUARY. AFTER THAT IT WILL BE OPENED TO THE PUBLIC, SO GET BOOKED IN QUICK!!
everyone who is interested in doing the run, please RSVP so i have an idea of who will be coming.
everyone who wants to partake in the trackday taster session needs to book individually. i recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. then please RSVP with 'TRACK' to let me know who is actually going to be going on the track.
i intend to meet up earlyish, but due to it being a Saturday, the roads aren't necessarily going to be clear, so i wont place too much emphasis on a big run beforehand, but we will have a BIT of fun , then we will go to Brands Hatch.
we'll do the track bit, but more on that in a minute........
after the track session, the intention is to make our way to a local pub for some lunch and a natter, before going our seperate ways home (unless any of you wish to go home together, but that isn't my business...... )
Suggested lunch venue:
The Pied Bull
High Street,
Farnigham,
Kent,
DA40DG
right, the trackday bit:
all of the info you need is on the web page above, but i have found out a few snippets -
you WILL need a helmet, You do not need a specific car racing helmet. As long as the helmet is from a reputable manufacturer/retailer and is in a good condition you can use it. Motorcycle helmets are also permitted for use. Please bear in mind that drivers will need a full face helmet when using a convertible/open top vehicle.
helmets will be available for hire on the day at a cost of ten pounds per helmet
Please note: Taster Sessions are for drivers who have attended up to a maximum of three trackdays before. If you are an experienced trackday driver please do not book into this event as you will not be permitted to take part and will not be offered a refund on your booking. Race cars are also not permitted on Taster Sessions.
there is a 105dB(A) noise limit on exhausts. if you are worried about yours, contact the organisers and ask. i personally have no idea how loud that is
NO slick Tyres. not that we should have them on as we are driving there on the roads.......
other than all of the above, i look forward to seeing you there
